How to Restore Your Switch Series Device When it is Stuck at Start-Up Screen

Note: The following procedure will clear your user settings and activity history. Please upload your activities to Magellan Active before performing this procedure.

  1. Connect your device to your computer using the Charging/Data USB Cradle. This puts your device in USB mass storage mode and will show up as a volume/drive on your computer named "MAGELLAN".
  2. Delete all contents (files & folders) from the device's root folder.

  3. As a result the drive will appear as seen below. Disconnect the device Turn it on and the start-up screen followed by the setup screen will appear, follow the on screen prompts and the device should begin to function as normal.
