How do I back up the maps from my eXplorist GPS?

You can back up the preloaded background map and or (if applicable detailed map from your eXplorist) 110, 310,510,610 and 710 GPS using VantagePoint which is a free download available from our website by clicking
here
. Once you install VantagePoint on your computer follow the steps below.
NOTE:
VantagePoint is currently not Mac Compatible
Once you launch VantagePoint you will see a map screen and at the top portion of the screen you will see a tool bar. In the toolbar you will see an option with 4 icons labeled sync under sync you will see a Map icon click onto the map icon.
The transfer maps window will appear select the “Background map” on the right hand side and if you GPS has an optional detailed map you can select that map as well by holding down the ctrl key while selecting the additional detailed map.
Once the maps are copied you will see them on the left hand side of the transfer maps window and they will now be backed up.
