Article The user grid system is a coordinate system mainly used by advanced users that are using the state plane grid coordinate system. The steps below will show you where to access the user grid system

eXplorist 110,and 310 models
(NOTE: "ENTER" is executed by pressing down on the Joystick)
  1. Press Back and select Tools.
  2. Under Tools, select Settings.
  3. Under Settings select Navigation.
  4. Select Coordinate System.
  5. In the drop down menu select User.
  6. Under User, select the Grid System and enter the state plane values.


eXplorist 510, 610, and 710
  1. Tap the map screen to reveal the 4-corners menu items.
  2. Select the main menu in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and select Tools.
  4. Select Setting.
  5. Scroll down and select Navigation.
  6. Under navigation select Coordinate System.
  7. Scroll down and select User.
  8. Under User select the Grid System and enter the state plane values.
