 How do I register and check for updates of my vehicle navigation device?
Article To register and check that you have the latest map for your device:

  1. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. Log into smartgpseco.com with your Magellan GPS account.
  3. Click on the *Update *tab.
  4. Click *Download *if you see a notification for a map update.
  5. Note: Do not disconnect your device while the map update is installing. Map update may take up to a few hours to install.
  6. Unplug the USB cable and disconnect your device from the computer.

Your device map is now up to date.

To Update Your Software:

To check that you have the latest software for your device:

  1. Log into SmartGPS Eco with your Magellan GPS account.
  2. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
  3. Click on the *Update *tab.
  4. Click *Download *if you see a notification that says “Software update: There is improved software available for your device.”
  5. Note: Do not disconnect your device while the software update is installing.
  6. Disconnect your device from your computer.

Your software is now up to date.
