Article Follow these instructions to register and check for updates on your NEW Magellan GPS Receiver

  1. Download and install Content Manager by clicking here.
  2. Once Content Manager is installed on your computer you will be prompted to log in to your existing account, or create a new Magellan user account if you have not already done so.
  3. Connect your GPS to your computer using the provided USB cable and turn it on.
  4. Your computer will automatically install your GPS, and you will be prompted a message to create a GPS profile, select OK.
  5. After a couple of minutes Content Manager will display a pop up message indicating that your GPS has been successfully registered.


Periodically, Content manager will check for updates automatically and inform you if a software or map update is available. Alternatively, you can check for updates by right clicking on the Content Manager icon in the system tray located near the clock in the lower right hand corner of your computer screen and selecting Check for Updates Now option
