How can I improve the accuracy of the compass and the position arrow?
Some of the eXplorist GPS receivers are equipped with an electronic compass that requires regular calibration. There is a compass indicator in the status bar, which is located in the upper left side of the map screen. If the icon is yellow or red, your eXplorist GPS receiver may require calibration. To perform this operation:
Tap the map screen to reveal the 4-corners menu items.
Tap the main menu icon in the lower left corner of the map screen.
Tap the tools icon in the lower center.
Scroll down and tap "Calibrate Compass".
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete calibration.
