Article We have discovered through testing that this will happen if the iPhone 4G isn't seated into the cradle properly and securely fastened by pressing down on the locking lip down so the iPhone doesn't wiggle while sitting in the cradle. When the iPhone isn't seated properly into the cradle it will also cause a pop-up message on the iPhone screen to appear stating that the device is incompatible with your phone. To alleviate this issue just adjust the iPhone's placement in the cradle and securely tighten the locking lip down to make sure the iPhone is seated properly in the cradle.
